Just before the party, bake the chicken pieces in an oven at about 180° for about an hour. Keep turning the pieces over in short intervals and apply some olive oil as you do so to both sides. Your perfect party finger food is ready. You can vary this recipe by also by using drumsticks only. For this you will have to add some crushed garlic to the marinating solution. This drumstick variant is best for vegan friends in the party. Being a vegetarian does not mean that they will have to pass out on the great tasting items in the party. Let them also enjoy!

Okay so the above recipe takes some time. Now what if you need a great tasting meal for a party? Well one such recipe would be Roasted Chicken and Potatoes. It is great with rice as well as vegetable stew. Not only is it versatile in its use, but also quick to make. You will need potatoes(skinned), chicken legs, some lime, thyme, rosemary, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and some paprika powder. Wash the potato and cut it into wedges. Then mix it up with rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper and paprika powder. Squeeze some lime over it and add some crushed garlic to the mix and place it in a nonstick oven pan with the cleaned and skinned chicken over it. Bake it in the oven at a temperature of 200° for half an hour. Serve it with what ever you please. Green salad works best along with this dish.

The above two recipes are all for the main course or can act as finger foods. What about appetizers. Well you can simply make oven fried chicken for that purpose only. For this coat the chicken pieces in bread crumbs after marinating in your choice of spices. Bake the pieces for half an hour at around 200° in an oven and serve with ketchup or mayonnaise.
